I think most people disliked the first one because the PC has more decent RTS games going for it, so when the 360 gets one and it plays differently or not as well, everyone hates it and rages about it and casts the game aside in the process. I personally enjoyed it quite a lot, and have never regretted at one time buying and playing it, was a decent game for me and I liked it. So hearing that basically the second one has been confirmed has me ecstatic. If it's only on the X1, which it probably is, then I'm a little bit sad, but I hope it turns out well and is still fun to play.

7 RepliesRight there are so many idiots in my sub-thread that I'm gonna have to make an entirely new post to address all this stupidity. Let me take you back to 2009, where this place was basically the same as it is now with all the whining and complaining except the site looked a lot better. Halo Wars was released and in typical B.Net fashion everyone hated it about 2 weeks later. However, this time it was rightfully so because this was a console RTS FFS, it was goddamn terrible. Now, fast forward to 2014 and apparently everyone loves it. It would seem that the Halo fan cycle of hating the current Halo game and liking the previous ones even applies to horrible spin offs. Can't wait for everyone to whine and complain about HW2 in the near future.

If this is legit, I will be first in line. Absolutely love this game and still destroy in 3v3. Would love to see more factions, larger battles and free build. But add classic mode because that was nicely balanced

It has to be done right for me to want another, Halo Wars was fun but had its flaws. I let it slide though since it was something new and the game was a good try. No excuses for Halo Wars 2, bigger battles, better bases, better units/balance and economy. It would be hard to pull off.

1 ReplyVery much enjoyed Halo Wars, and would welcome a sequel. Yes, it was more limited than other games of the genre due to it being on console, but it was still a fun - streamlined - RTS. No less satisfying to build up a legion of troops and storm enemy bases. Heroic pushed you to manage your units quickly and effectively; and I can only imagine how much more demanding Legendary is. Those vehicles need to appear in the mainline games. Also interested from a story standpoint, too. Some cool characters, and important events, spawned from Wars. Bring it on, I say.
