Ammo packs were essential kit during strikes, and I found them extremely easy to access after using them a few times.
Equipping one only took a few seconds, and was a great counteraction to basically having infinite ammo.
I also liked that all types of ammo packs were linked to the same cooldown period.

Disagree! Not essential kit. I played through the strike 20+ times and never needed one. They can be helpful, but I never found them necessary in the least, as I never used one. Seriously, I stopped even bothering with Brave as well, never needed one. I also in all but three strikes had highest kills. So not like I was being carried. I normally had no more than 10 deaths as I hate zerging, and I usually view dying as a personal failure. I know I am kind of a perfectionist. I think my average of deaths per strike was like 3-5. Point being not necessary. If you found them necessary, then even more reason to find a better access solution.

Edited by MickizM: 6/20/2014 12:08:13 AMI was disappointed if I had one death. Legend was mandatory. To each their own I guess, theres no right or wrong way to play. But my point was that every advantage needs a counterpart. That would be having to navigate 1 screen for a matter of seconds in this case, and a 5 minute cooldown. Both are fair tradeoffs imo.

Edited by SirTheProper: 6/20/2014 12:32:11 AMI think the cooldown is excellent. I am glad they have it, but if you live or die by ammo you would have it ready. I think a better way to access it is in order. If nothing else, I am fond of accessing the ghost for it. Then your in the weapon down state, but have awareness. Best of what your saying and an improvement.

Edited by SirTheProper: 6/20/2014 12:28:05 AMTrust me, I kick myself for even one death as well. I meant total average not, like 3-5 deaths a match. Dear Lord no. I might commit Seppeku. I had plenty of zero death runs, a few 1's then there was that 15, that was a bad run. Teammates dragging enemies on to me and then dying, people dragging enemy fire, like sepiks blasts right into my position. I played brave sub 8. I managed a few deathless runs on demon's souls back in the day. NG++ was my highest deathless. In strikes, I got killed more than anything by my teammates actions or being the hero and earning medic rewards. It doesn't always work out to be the hero. It also sounds like you were content to use consumable items. I personally feel that is a weakness and a waste. I always try for zero deaths and zero consumables, it is my way. I will keep going until I perfect it as well, no matter the game. You remember devil may cry? How they docked you if you used an item. I do that personally to myself. If I can't make do with what I am giving, I don't feel like I am playing good enough. I am also stingy. If I can get it for free, I would rather not pay for it, but that's just me.

As I said, theres no right or wrong way to play. Thats part of the beauty of destiny, especially in pve. Are there things that could use tweaking? Sure, I just dont think this is one of them. Anyway, im done here. Good talk.
