This is what religion is for, to answer what cannot be answered.
to my knowledge, no modern religions have an answer for the origin of life, outside of "god did it" there's no proof of anything.
This is what religion is for, to answer what cannot be answered.
It doesn't answer anything. I might as well say I created all life. Do you have any proof I didn't? No? Git gud.

Yes, there is definitive proof you didn't create life, you weren't born when life emerged.

Edited by Nodlid: 6/13/2014 4:59:54 AMIt actually CAN be answered correctly, we just don't actually know the answer. yet. Using religion to fill in the gaps is really stupid. The gaps get smaller and smaller as scientific progress allows us to answer more and more questions.

Religion began for our ancestors to be able to explain what they couldn't. As the human race advances and becomes smarter and we can understand what we once couldn't, the need for religion becomes smaller, or as we would say 'obsolete'
