Did the hive make the hell mounth like bungie said? Are the hive just zombies like the flood ?

The Hive created the Hellmouth using some sort of their alien technology. They are similar to the Flood in the sense that they are zombie-like, but it seems that they are manifestations of Darkness rather than parasites that take over a host.

We don't really know what happened during the Collapse yet other than that the Darkness almost destroyed us. They very well could have been since they are also on Earth.

I see the ghost in the first mission said the hive haven't been on earth for centuries. Also the bungie site said they.were apart of the fall of humanity

They haven't been seen on Earth in a while, but they might have been here that whole time.

Or sent by the hive pods. Or their drop ships. Because the ghost continue and said. That wizard was from the moon. I thought we contained the hive there. Maybe the darkness is closer than we think. So does that mean the hive and darkness are working together? Also does that mean the hive technology is just,darkness technology they are borrowing? Or is it really just hive tech?,

I think the Hive are spawns of Dark energy created and left by the Darkness. I don't think the Darkness is actively controlling them (yet).

Mainly cybernetic, but they do have organic components to them. We don't know the origins of any enemies yet.

I see but.the cabal must have a home world set up as command. They are basically the Romans.
