Phil has done a lot to erase the damage Microsoft did to themselves under Mattrick. But we needed to see something really good this E3.
And they brought it.
After watching all three major console manufacturers presentations (will sighing and slowly shaking my head at Nintendo's... ), I have to say that Microsoft easily walks away the proverbial "victor" this year. They've done a really great job of turning themselves around and redeeming themselves IMO.
If they can keep this up; focusing on the games while still making Xbox the best media hub for your house, then I don't see why they couldn't catch up to Sony in sales.
But they've really redeemed themselves for me. Now I just watch to see if this positive trend continues with them (and I pray to my Gods that it does).
Good to go, Microsoft. Good to go.

Because the PS4 is sold in more regions, that's why.

And as the year goes on, MS will open up to its full intended sales regions as well. Once that is open, the numbers shouldn't (I say shouldn't, not "will") look quite so skewed.

I know I am definitely gonna pick up and Xbox One now. I think a lot of people who didn't get an Xbox One last year are probably going to get one now. Microsoft did a very good job this year.

I feel the same way. This years E3 is interesting though... Microsoft shows us all games to prove to us they are putting games first. Quite literally what customers and critics said they didn't see xbox doing, but every media coverage I've read plays this out as a "softball" or "non-progressive". Meanwhile Sony shows a decent lineup a few peripherals and announces Sony TV. Every coverage I've read marks it as "forward thinking". And of course Nintendo is out of touch completely. Im at the point where I think they should just make software and games for the other two companies. I feel like as with last year the media coverage of E3 is either completely out of touch or just biased completely.

Yeah that is spot on. This E3 proved to me again that Xbox is where I want to game. Even the 3rd party games like Evolve and The Division was on the Xbox stage and were already at the top of my list. Throw in MCC and Sunset OD and I am knocked out. Once again Sony only had one exclusive I cared about in The Order( like last years TLOU) and Batman was the only third party they showed that I was excited for. It is so nice to have a gamer in charge of a game console. Keep it up Phil

Exactly.
