It does look pretty damn cool, but the other isn't that bad either. I would put function and space over immediate aesthetics though, and then you could always customise it later?

my customizing would be maybe some stickers... not really into the whole case mod thing.

Yeah <.< I *could* but I wouldn't want to. I've seen all these fancy case swaps for the PS4 and I just think... yeah I'm not going to void the warranty or mess something up for the sake of a cool looking case <.<
