I dont understand why people compare other games to Destiny, its completely different.

Well, it pulls elements from a multitude of games, I think. It has the vast amount of weapons from Borderlands, the story-crafting of Mass Effect, the open-world feel of Skyrim, the gameplay of Halo, and the shared-world of WoW. But that's necessarily a bad thing.
