I'm not saying we shouldn't try to cut our CO2 emissions down by a substantial degree, but at this stage we've pretty much passed the point of no return in regards to climate change even if we did somehow magically cease all CO2 emissions globally. This could've, and should've been implemented earlier.

Even then, people would have been pissed off at Obama, and probably would have praised a previous president for doing so. CO2 wasn't a big concern back then (This sounds really ignorant, but it's true) as it is today because it wasn't really looked at back then as much as it is now. Now? I sincerely hope that before Obama leaves office, we aren't screwed over by our own hands.
