You'd think with the extra development time they'd have fixed these issues by now.

Exactly. These "issues" should have been caught and fixed long, long before the game ever released. It really is inexcusable.

I don't really understand the purpose of Uplay. And does this just affect Uplay, or other online modes? Because I couldn't find an open-world game yesterday on PS4, and that seems to be the most popular version of the game.

I am not sure what Uplay does my self. Expect for every time I play child of light I get message that it's not working
