Forgive my ignorance, but do we know whether you can even drop ammo upon dying? Also, maybe they'll just have it work like Halo where you can pick up another player's heavy weapon?

  • All we know 100% for sure is we drop/lose heavy ammo when we die in PvP. We still have no clear confirmation one way or another on whether an opponent can then pick it up.

You have nothing to be sorry about, I'll give you a link about the first question, remember this is only confirmed in PvP http://desti-nation.org/article.php?id=110
Primary, Secondary, and Heavy weapons use three different color-coded ammo types. -
About your second question I have no Idea... Sorry, I gave you wrong link, I already edited it...

  • Yes for first question (in PVP but not sure for PVE) and no since bungie said that once you die you drop color coded ammo. I think it will work like this: you pick up heavy ammo and it give you 2 clips for your heavy, that will be two rockets and 2 clips of 75 bullets in your machine gun, so if you're on your last clip in the machine gun and you die then your opponent picks up the ammo. Then he will get one rocket.
