I've taken a stint of protein. It didn't do anything for me.
I weight train every other day while doing running in between lifting days. I do full body, collegiate level workouts and have been for 2 years now.
And my gains have been impressive for not taking any supplements. My diet does it all for me.

So, what are you eating?

Lean meats every other day, and a metric ass ton of veggies and various nuts. Mostly grilled chicken for protein and I eat a lot of salad. But I do the while juicing thing which makes eating veggies a helluva lot easier. Mixed with fruit it's fantastic.
