• Necromorphs...they make more tactical decisions and not to mention that if the marker gets near anyone it can posses them

  • though ive never played dead space it seems like it would depend on if the markers could affect the flood

  • The Flood is much easier to kill than necromorphs.

  • Both are pretty damn cool, but Flood wins by nostalgia. Though, Dead Space 1 will be pretty nostalgic in the next few years

  • It's been established the Flood absolutely shitstomp when Keyminds and Foreunner/Precursor tech get busted out. The question is not if that happens, the question is when.

      • It needs to be combat/brute forms only. That way its somewhat even.

        • Form-for-form, one necromorph of nearly any type is superior to a flood combat form. They can also bring out their bigger forms more quickly. The necromorphs can not only utilize weaponry (in a primitive manner), but they can physically fuse themselves to technology and use it in unorthodox ways, hence the twitchers. That said, flood are a much more intelligent enemy, but the Marker's mind--blam!- powers would hamper that a good deal. That's actually extremely convenient for the necromorphs.

          • It's pretty funny how similar they are. The Flood spread until they can form a gravemind, and then they're much more motivated and organized. The Necromorphs spread until they've infected a planet to make a brethren moon. I think the fairest situation would be to infect one planet with a sample of Flood spore, and place a marker on another planet. Since the marker is essentially a proto-gravemind, I'd say the necros have an early advantage. However, the Flood spreads significantly faster, and with the ability to absorb the intelligence of the host, I think would be a bigger threat in the long run.

            • Necromorphs need to infect a living body, Flood use all biomass and don't leave behind limbs that get shot off. The Flood toppled an ancient empire that spanned the galaxy and were extremely powerful. The Necromorphs got screwed over by an Engineer that used everyday tools to kill them. Flood wins.

              • The Flood were able to single handly defeat the greatest empire the galaxy has ever seen. The Necromorphs can't kill Issac for the life of them.

                      • If it was the Flood infecting a population of humans and then going against established Necromorphs, I'd give it to Necromorphs. This is based off of reading up on the two on an earlier date. Necro's are more violent and capable of greater changes in the first stages of outbreak, but the Flood wins at intelligence, tool use, and speed of an outbreak in a population.

Hmm, guess it depends on: -If the Marker's signal (that alters dead tissue to necromorph) would affect things in Halo's universe, or if it would be the other way around (which fiction is biased). -If the signal interferes with a flood spores ability to infect/who would win the body. -And who would win in a staring competition between a Gravemind and a Marker.
