Hmm.... You really should be seeing something just like this, allowing you to choose your specific drive. I did it myself about a month ago and the ssd was treated as a regular drive. Maybe it needs..... formatting? Can't recall what I did myself. Don't think I had to format the solid state.

  • I haven't actually built it yet... I just wanted to make sure. Thanks. What other sort of stuff should I install to the SSD? Should I save my games there, or on the HDD?

  • For me I install the OS and all program files to the SSD, and then my big old style drive is where I download stuff to, store all media like music, photos and movies and files. That way the ssd can be accessed just for programs that require the speed.

  • That's what I planned to do. I just don't know what kind of stuff requires speed. iTunes? Google chrome?
