If you were chosen to be a mod what would you do?
Serious question. Would you take measures to try and fix the community? Would you turn them down? Share.

Uphold the Code of Conduct, ensure that my behavior does the same, and do what Ninjas are meant to do: Be a valuable community member and forum poster, and also be willing to dole out swift and brutal justice to those who deserve it. I think I could handle it fairly, but odds are that I'll never know.

It would be difficult though, since I quite like a lot of the posters who burn through alts faster than a chain smoker burns through cigarettes at a bus stop .-. I wouldn't enjoy banning them, they know who they are >.>

I'd take the position and... Moderate. Ban people for big time rule violations. Small offenders get warnings. I imagine I'd be a mod who does a lot of PMing about infractions and giving out warnings. Request being able to ban for a couple of days to a week. That kind of thing. Maybe try to get a system of rewards going (like titles) to reinforce "acceptable" behavior. Then I would make an alt on which I would post more casually.

7 RepliesRemove Ninja privileges of all other mods for the entirety of May 24th, make it well known that I did so, remind everyone what happened on May 24th 2009, say everyone should try to re-create those events and that no one will banned for any form of activity(no rules, at all, troll, spam, post gore, post porn, DDOS other websites with "Flud wuz here", I don't give a -blam!-), for that entire day(Central Standard Time). Grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks. Do the same every May 24th so everyone can get it out of their system.

The current mods are too lenient and easy going; what they need is somebody to come in and remind the forums who's in charge. Asses would be kicked. Considering my already near-omnipresence on this site, no troll or spammer would be safe; appeals to me would be a joke, and Waahmbulance would get some fresh content. Of course, I feel like Jane would come back if I became a mod, simply to try and duke it out with me when I have a wider arsenal than a report button. And while I'm at it, this belongs in #Community.
