They're insanely profitable, so they continue creating them. Money is a priority. Look at Skyrim. Every man and his dog has the damn game. Bethesda would have to be on some serious crack to even think about stalling the franchise.

But their TES games have continuity. Fallout was a mess story/plot wise.

Doesn't mean they should just give up on Fallout. I personally find the setting, atmosphere, and lot of TES to be just plain boring, and would much rather have a new Fallout.

I don't know why they would bother. They're never gonna create an IP better than the Elder Scrolls or Fallout.
