Awful graphics card choice for that money. My rig cost me close to £3000 (works out at around $5000) but that's factoring in the extra cost of just being in the UK - everything is more expensive here. For that kind of money you want AT LEAST a 3GB GTX 780, if not a GTX 780 Ti. Hell, if you're going hard, do what I did and get two EVGA Classified GTX 780s and run them together. The memory and CPU are overkill for a gaming rig - mine has an i7 3770K and it was a poor choice, more expensive and less of the bonuses. The RAM I have is great for video editing, which is only something I do on occasion. Mine is -blam!-ing overkill. But you can go better than a GTX 770 for that money. Way better.

 • Of that list, go for this: $150 Instant Off NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3GB GDDR5 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [Memorial Day Mega Sales - $150 Instant Rebate + Free Upgrade to Superclocked from Major Brand] (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) [+294] It's the last one. It's the best option for you. Just stick with the one for now if you're using one monitor and aren't going beyond 1080p.

 • I'd say "exactly", but honestly, I've found that I'm no longer glad I'm a PC enthusiast. I used to have a single GTX 680 in my PC, which cost me around £400. Within two years, I wanted an upgrade because of my new monitor, which made the 680 struggle. So, being the idiot that I am, I bought two GTX 780s for £800. Senseless upgrade, because I've barely used them. If you're going to suddenly devote your gaming life to PCs, then it's a great build and worth the money (cheaper self-built, but if you're unsure, go pre-built). I'd just say, maybe reconsider. That's a huge budget, and you might find yourself angry at the purchase a year down the line.

 • That sucks. The first negative thing I've heard about PC gaming. But to touch on your second paragraph... Money isn't an issue (I've been given a blank check.) Why would I be angry at myself?

 •
Money isn't an issue (I've been given a blank check.) Why would I be angry at myself?
If it's not your money, by all means. I was disappointed that I invested so much money into a machine that I primarily use for browsing and doing work. I haven't loaded up Steam, or any game at all, for weeks now. I just feel it, perhaps, wasn't my best move. I still have my old GTX 680 sat in my room. It's probably worth £250 still. Just sitting there. No-one wants a used card.

 • Ah, okay. It's just buyers remorse, then. Thank you for your input, you've been a great help. I hope you can find a way to mitigate your "losses" (I use quotation marks because I'm a huge newb about this stuff and not really sure what's going on half the time.) :)
