The only problem you'll have with electrical tape is the residue it'll leave behind if you ever decide to peel it off, no necessarily a big problem since soap and water will remove the residue though.

Yeah Electrical tape seems to be the best for blocking off the light, and i figured its relativly easy to remove it compared to inkjet printer sticker paper, with the electrical tape the residue can be removed with diluted rubbing alcohol and water on a q tip!
