I enjoy the feel of games. The position of making the game feel undeniably real would be the job I would want.

I think you're vaguely describing design. You should really do more research on game development. Saying "I want to make a game" is not enough. First, research game development. Learn the process, the jobs, and the lifestyle. If you still want to do straight up game design, start reading up on game mechanics and how to create a smooth game play experience. Next, start analyzing the games you play. Look at what's popular, and what you like about it. You need the game to be fun. Try not to rip off ideas though. People can tell when something is a clone of another game. It's a good idea to keep making games up in your head. They don't have to be complicated, just as long as you're making them up as you go along, you'll be fine. Anyway, read up on game development.
