My mother has a BA in education. Though, it was for educating the mentally retarded... I guess that doesn't reflect well on me ._. I'd agree with you, if it weren't for textbooks meant for homeschoolers. They also tend to consume a lot of internet courses and video courses, so parents are hardly the only teachers.

My mom never even taught me. It was textbooks, or private teachers for the most part. Trust me, they don't need degrees.

My parent does and did for awhile. But my friends mom doesn't and they learn fine.
