Just about finished my first run.
Been using club+10 but want to upgrade to something that does more damage but still has a fast attack speed before ng+.
Str or dex as I can respec if needed.
Any suggestions?

I used a Black Knight Halberd +5 until NG+++, and I'm still using it. It has an awesome moveset and great direct-hit damage. It scales OK, but it's a high Dex requirement. But honestly, a lot of the high strength weapons can be cheesed by two-handing them (you only need half the strength if you 2-hand a weapon). So going for a full strength weapon isn't really necessary since you have that option. Meanwhile, if you raise Dex more, you both have more options for movesets and more damage scaling on more weapons (i.e. ranged weapons too!). I've grown to love a Dex weapon + Agility build.

Yeah I like the look of the sunsword, only problem is im playing offline.

That is an issue. Katanas hit reasonably quick and do good damage, you might consider checking any of those out.
