I'm just worried about the lack of a good story. Any shared-world game (call it MMO, call it whatever you want) struggles hard to deliver an interesting AND cooperative storyline. Everything else is bearable to me.

I've been thinking about that as well. Always wanted to ask that question in the Mail Sack, but always miss it... The story line we have been given so far is pretty generic, wondering if there are strong characters in the tale of Destiny. Fighting along the Chief and Cortana was inspiring, I'm not the greatest player but managed to play on Legendary and never give up. I know it's up to us to become legend, but the players I encounter on line often tell me stories about my mother, not sure if that can keep me going ;) Maybe Bungie does not want to reveal the bigger picture yet. Showing game play is awesome, some people don't even care for a good story but for me that's what motivates my gaming. I'll call it a co-op shooter.

Edited by Galahad: 5/6/2014 2:22:03 PMFrom my point of view, if you simplify Destiny as "shoot & loot", it's just logical that I get nervous. Probably you're right about Joe Staten and his team, though. But they've been too secretive about it.
I mean, Guild Wars 2 was sold as "It's your world", "It's YOUR story"... and it was a tremendous flop. I'm just being cautious this time and keeping my expectations in check.
