  • Yeah, main has to be static so that the JVM can call it without instantiating whatever class its in.

  • It is. It's a subscription based model. 20$ a month and you have the engine, all of its source code and updates. however. You can pay 20$ ONE TIME. Download the engine, Unsubscribe. You now have a copy of the engine that you can legally use to release commercial games. However you still need to pay them royalties if you ever do release. But their royalties are way better than every other platform. Or you can torrent it.

  • That's good to know. Right now I'll stick with UDK. I'm recalling just learning how it works and just getting started. Not really serious about publishing, just a hobby.
