Of course it is natural, and those displaying homophobia often are gay themselves, or at least having homosexual tendencies, that their, mainly Christian in the USA, communities have told them is wrong. So, they try to hide their homosexual leanings by acting so hateful to gays that you would never suspect it from them. In their minds, they would like nothing more than to have a night of rough, gay sex. So, when I see people arguing for hate against gays, I feel bad for them. It must hurt having to insult that which you secretly are.
