Which server should I join? I was planning on joining Gilgamesh cause I heard it was really popular for a non-legacy server, but I want to know what you guys think.

Well Atomic Tea and I are on Jenova. Kyoukami is on Cactuar. Josh is on Adamantoise. Not sure on the rest. Beta kinda spread everyone out. One character can be all classes, so once you get invested you really don't want to start over. Most of the servers seem pretty populated atm as well.

No worries. No FC up yet. Just been doing the main storyline + dungeons so far.

My brother told me Gilgamesh is the best server for that and for me being new. He said Excalibur would also be a good server for that (and because I'm biased towards servers with Arthurian legend names) but he advised me against that server because it was a Legacy Server and wouldn't be beneficial to me because I'm new.

Yea Legacy servers probably aren't the best since that's mostly PC guys who've had the game for a while now. Most are on mouse and keyboard instead of controller as well. Haven't been on Gilgamesh, so you're brother may be right. Jenova was the default server during the last beta, so its got plenty of new characters running around.

Well I'll be playing on the PC, but he told me not to go on a Legacy Server because they were 1.0 servers that start off with an already established economy. Basically it boiled down to 1.0 players who may or may not be helpful, and an ingame economy that is biased against new people just getting into the game.
