Once in Reach I was flying a Falcon with 2 gunners when we got shot at by a Plasma Launcher and just at the last second one of the gunners jumped out and took all 4 plasma grenades for us. I think he just wanted to bail, but he did end up saving us.

I had a friend I was playing with do something like that. We were playing on Hemerhage with me driving the warthog and my friend gunning. Four plasma launcher shots were chasing us as we soared across the map trying to avoid them. It was apparent that we were going to get stuck so all I hear is "screw it" and he jump off the gun taking all the shots. He died, respawned and and we went on some blue berry justice killing the guy with the plasma launcher.
