Take away Iron Man 1 and The Avengers and they probably wouldn't even be in the top ten.

Iron Man 3 made over 1 billion by itself. The others not far off half a billion each i think.

That's what I'm saying though. Marvel relies heavily on RDJ and the success of the Iron Man films. Granted, the Avengers is a success independent on its own, but do you really think the overall franchise would be as commercially succesful were it not for Jon Favreau and RDJ?

Granted they kick started the whole movement. Rumours are now that RDJ is about to become the leader of the Avengers, so i know what you're saying.
