Dodgeball. Without a mechanic built into the game to referee said game types I can just hear all the screaming now. "I hit you" "nuh uh" and then it goes down hill from there.

Very simple solution. Instead of a traditional ball, us Destiny's version of plasma grenades (if there happens to be a version). ;-)

No friendly fire in non PvP arenas - I don't think they'd stick :(

Yeah that would work. The feeling I got from OP was that it was a spur of the moment in the wild type of deal which IMO wouldn't work.

Maybe stick the ball with a menu option so when it comes out it binds the players to the rules. But really just throw a ball in and let the players decide what to do with it. I have watched countless BMX trick parties on GTA V due to friends just hamming it up. So giving players with these type of friendlists toys to play with can only enhance Destiny's free time when cutting up.
