Well for one, if the ground vehicles are as robust as I hope they will be, racing will certainly be a big non-combative activity.

OH MAN.. Could you imagine!??! Once a week everyone gathers on Mars.. or a random setting just to see who the fastest Guardians are... So awesome. Need more stuff like this.

I've actually been thinking of writing a thread on the subject. There are many people who lament how Destiny seems to lack space combat and other such experiences, but I get the feeling that the ground vehicles are situated nicely to not only capture all the experiences one would expect from a space simulator but improve on them due to a variety of reasons. Racing is definitely a big aspect of that :)

The implications are just amazing. Especially with all of Bungie's talk about how you can pimp your ride. I think you're right.. I think the lack of space combat/movement is being made up for by this "ground game" while the tech side gets worked out for that stuff in future expansions.
