I typically don't concern myself with what makes other people's neurons fire in unique ways.
The only exception is if/when the person is a part of my life and we're being intimate. If they want to share their "unique buttons" because they hope that I am willing/able to press those buttons for them? Then I am more than happy to listen, to talk, to ask questions and to learn about what special triggers they have inside their skull. No judgement, no squicking, no hate. Let's talk and see what the other thinks.
Similarly, the strange quirks inside of my head? They are mine and unless I want to share them with someone else, they are staying inside of my head where they affect no one, harm no one, and impact no one.
So, since I live in a "glass house", I am not inclined to throw stones and label someone else's interests/fascinations as either "worst" or "dumb" or any other such adjective.

It's one of the things that makes/keeps life interesting and that I find so fascinating about other people. But because they are so personal, the only time I share mine or really care about someone else's is when it really matters.

Such is the level that everybody should be expected to take. Everybody has at the very least, that one [i]thing.[/i] Some things I may not agree with, but I don't go out of my way to criticize people over it or make a fuss, because I know if what was inside my head was outside, I'd have the same flak coming my way too. And, I take comfort in knowing one thing. I'm not alone in what's in there. History says that if one person in history has ever thought of it before, then therefore another Human being will at some point as well. And this point is proven, over and over again. The irony of this is that we keep some things so deep down and out of sight, when we are in fact surrounded by people who could potentially have the very same likings as we do.
