Because white people believe that if you're middle eastern or live in an uncivilised country, the value of your life is decreased drastically. No one cares when another hundred Syrians die, it's fine they're barley human.

Most white people don't think like that. in fact most "people" in general don't want to get involved because it's not our problem. The commitment to end the bloodshed in Syria would be costly, and it's their civil war. On the other hand Ukraine was invaded by a world power, one on the UN council. One that should be a Democracy. People fear a second cold war

Because the build up during the first one nearly lead to nuclear war, and many people lost their livess in the puppet wars like Vietnam
