Some of Razer's stuff is good, but a large majority of it is overpriced.
The Naga, Black Widow and Tartarus are the the only things that come to mind when thinking of Razer products worth the price.

The reality of it is that when it comes to any popular hardware manufacturer, some people are bound to get defective devices. The more popular a company, the more likely you are to hear things like: "Don't buy from [company name], all their stuff breaks within few weeks!". In reality, any of these high profile companies like Steel Series or Razer got where they are by making quality products. You don't survive in any market by producing defective crap. That's why my advice is that if you're unsure about quality between a brand you know and a brand you have never heard of, go with the brand you know. There's a good reason why popular companies are popular.

Never used it myself, but I've heard horror stories of things breaking easily from Logitech, Razer and Steelseries. None of those products are built to be extremely durable, but you're probably gonna have to end up picking one anyways.
