  • lulz for the most part. Besides, the UTG mount was easily removed, even if the rear sight leaf spring was a bitch to put back on. It was a fun setup. But when I refinished the stock I went back to Soviet Issue. Honestly, I do prefer the Irons. The scope was pretty shitty. But it was a cheap long eye relief scope. What more could you want?

Did you shoot it while it was bubba'd? That bipod position would seem weird as all hell to shot like that.

  • It was okay. While it lasted that is. It stopped being functional pretty quickly after recoil. It was either that, or those cheap plastic clip on bipods for the barrel. I wasn't going to skimp on that. The Bipod was a mistake in the end. It just couldn't handle the recoil. The scope was pretty good while I used it. Held zero, and had decent magnification. Was fun to use. I still do prefer the stock look of the rifle. The scope and rail was silly.

  • Does a scope and bipod count as tacticooling?

  • Is it a PU Scope? No Is it a aftermarket? Yes Does the bipod need rails? yes

  • I'm not going to take the risk on mounting a PU scope. Takes some hardcore machining and I'm not willing to make those kinds of modifications to my Mosin. I chose a long-eye-relief scope that mounts to the dovetail under the mosin's rear sight base. The bipod needs a rail. Of course it needs a rail. How the hell else Would it get on the damn gun without one? There is no such thing as an original Mosin bipod.

Honestly that's alright. It's not like your taking the whole receiver out the stock and do.....this Though try to put the rail on the sling mount.

  • Ew. That thing looks disgusting with that stock. It just doesn't do it justice. I am using the original stock. There is no sling mount.

  • I mean the sling hole. This requires a bit of drilling and it MIGHT cause barrel harmonic changes..

  • I actually have a sling on mine and am not planning on changing that. I think I'll stick to the little quad-rail i already ordered.
