Have you finished Dark Souls 2 yet? I'm near the end of the game and I'm seeing a something huge that could lend support to the theory of cyclical behavior.

No, I haven't had a chance to make much progress lately. I take my souls games slowly. More fun that way.

Definitely. Anyway, some of it seems to relate to what you are saying very strongly. Suffice to say, there are more archtrees later in the game.
