Also, I remember reading a study where people who had two or three beers/glasses of wine a day ended up being healthier than people who didn't, but I dunno if that's bullshit or not.

It's probably wine and not lite beer that does the trick. I know wine promotes an appetite and I'm pretty sure there are antioxidants in it, which I'm told are a good thing.

The article I read didn't differentiate between the types of beer, but it did say that it could prevent cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's (which is odd), and depression (which is odder).
