I don't get why the god child tells you that he made the Reapers, when in fact it was the Leviathans.

The Leviathans made the program. The program made the Reapers. The program is not the Reapers.

Then why do the Reapers claim to have no beginning? Just learning that the Reapers were in fact created eliminated a lot of the mystery and awe behind them for me.

Because Bioware had a "make it up as we go along" style of writing. Sovereign was spouting ambiguous bullshit because Bioware hadn't come up with anything yet.

Bingo. The Leviathan DLC is good but at the end of the day it's a desperate ploy to try and fix Bioware's massive blunder. On top of that Leviathan ends up being integral to the plot. So you have to pay to get the proper story basically. This is why I tell people to stay clear of Dragon Age Inquisition. Bioware/EA screws consumers like no other duo.
