I have not been vaccinated in the past six years. Swine flu? Never got vaccinated and never got sick. Simply put, I don't get sick and think vaccines are a simple waste of money
Oh my gawd, I'm laughing at all the liberals and democrats in here saying yes. Whatever happened with "M-MUH BODY" and "M-MUH PRO-CHOICE"? -blam!-ing hypocrites

Edited by Le Dustin xddddd: 3/16/2014 5:37:51 PMYou probably don't catch very many diseases because everyone else around you gets a vaccination. Or unless you're just disconnected from the rest of the world (and I wouldn't be surprised if that was true), you're not naturally immune to disease. Period.

My parents nor brother ever get vaccinated along with a few of my friends. Funny enough, the ones that do get vaccinated end up being the ones who get sick. And actually, coming into contact with bacteria, germs, etc. by eating with dirty hands or not washing your hands is an effective way to build up your immune system. Somebody who has lived in a bubble all their life but decides to come into contact with germs will get sick as antibodies and white blood cells never came into contact with it
Funny enough, the ones that do get vaccinated end up being the ones who get sick.
Statistically, people who get vaccinated for a disease have a near 0% infection rate of those who are exposed compared to a 100% infection rate to those exposed and unvaccinated.
And actually, coming into contact with bacteria, germs, etc. by eating with dirty hands or not washing your hands is an effective way to build up your immune system.
Vaccination is also a way of building up your immune system without really catching the disease. It's actually a safer way.

Nice anecdotal evidence you got there.

What is "herd immunity?" While flu vaccines really aren't that helpful, as far as I know, stuff like measles and tuberculosis should be vaccinated. Though I agree that they shouldn't necessarily be forced, if someone dies because you neglected your vaccinations, there will be hell to pay.

While flu vaccines vary in effect from year to year, they do provide a benefit to those who get them. - Der
