On the old bnet AMA's were a banable offense.
Unless you were jaythenerdkid

A bannable offense? As opposed to what other type of offense? That would imply that it's offensive at all.
-
AMA's don't produce discussion. They were considered spam and they still should be. Something doesn't have to be literally offensive to be banable.
-
AMA's don't produce discussion.
Give me a BREAK.
-
Then your view on what is a discussion is that of a full blown retard. Random questions that are answered with a single word in most cases or arguments because of flamebaiting/trolling doesn't count as discussion.
-
"What's your favorite movie?" "X." "Why?" "Because reasons." "Your reasons are my reasons for not liking it. Explanations." "I see. What movies do you like?" "Stuff like Y and Z." "What's good about those?" Bla bla bla. It's not that complicated. I'm sorry you're such an uninteresting and unconversational fuck that you can't even elaborately answer basic questions and follow through with it through discussion. I'm sure you're great fun at parties. Loser.
-
Lol that retard assumption. Good job kiddie. I don't make AMA's because there is no point in making them and they are just for attention seeking whores. Funny that you say all that because I'm probably the most talkative person you'll meet. Try harder.
-
"No point in making them". Amazing. Because free association is such a bad thing, right? You're such a whiny kid, and a liar. You're DEFINITELY the awkward quiet kid in the fifth grade. Your defensiveness and the way you type suggests it entirely. Keep losing.
-
Lmao Try harder kid. Come on, keep making yourself look retarded. I have no problem talking to people about an actual subject or in an actual argument. ask me anything is -blam!-ing stupid because you don't know what to say and are looking for attention. If I were so lonely as you say, shouldn't I be making them all the time? But what is this? I don't. This must defy your logic in all possible ways. Calm the -blam!- down kid, this isn't high school. I'm positive I've met more people than you've probably seen from your basement room.
-
"B-b-b-but... You're wrong!" 'Kay. You lose. I win. Glad we were able to establish that.
-
Lol You imaginarily won. Good job. This is how much I care that you won in a nonexistent competition. Dont think you're so cool because you're not. Ive dealt with dozens of idiots like you over the years here. Such short lived.
-
You were unable to defend yourself when I called you out. All you said was that you WERE social, and I'm just supposed to take your word for it. I won't.
-
Edited by Hipi07: 3/11/2014 7:34:47 PMAnd your opinion is supposed to be a fact or something? I don't give a flying -blam!- if you believe me or not because you're just another retard passerby on this site. There is no point in trying so hard here, so you can chill out with calling people out for retarded things in your apparent crusade against socially awkward people, which happens to be furthest thing you could call me. Go try somewhere else. Kthxbai

And continue pointlessly bitching about AMA threads, because you're so upset that you don't get enough attention that you project your anger unto others. I might just make an AMA thread now, and have a million intelligent discussions about whatever the FUCK I want. Just to prove you wrong.
-
What anger am I projecting unto others? Am I going into threads and calling people out or confronting anyone directly for making an AMA? No. Then shut the -blam!- up and stop making shit up.
-
Who said you had to do that? Why does it matter that you don't do that? I proved you wrong, and you're so unable to defend yourself, it's hilarious. An opinion formed through incorrect presumptions is an incorrect opinion. Why are you so willing to have an incorrect opinion.
-
I proved you wrong
Funny, because you did not anywhere at any point. The assumption that you believe is wrong, which means you couldn't have proved me wrong to begin with. I have no reason to correct you if you're obviously just going to keep trolling and trying to get a rise of out me, no matter what I say. Thing is, I don't care. As I said, you're one more here. Adios.
-
No, if you said, "Yeah, I guess you're right", I'd leave you the fuck alone. But because you're having trouble with basic concepts, like, "AMAs are a feasible way of achieving intelligent discussion on a wide variety of subjects", you refuse. I don't even have to make the thread, I've made one before, and I can show you all the discussions I've had. AMAs don't promote discussion, and yet I can have five going on at the same time with five different people in five different sub-threads. Amazing how simple it is. Amazing that you can't understand it.
-
>What's your favorite color? >Blue. >Why? That isn't discussion. Discussion are thought out replies to a relevant subject like: Was the atomic bombing of hiroshima needed? > Yes because.... >No because.... The fact that you think talking randomly is discussing is the problem here.
-
That isn't discussion.
How.
Discussion are thought out replies to a relevant subject like:
So where do you draw the line? How do you measure how specific a subject has to get before it becomes a discussion? What's the magic number?
-
It's kind of common sense. There really is no need to explain where the line between actual discussion is and where random talking about random subjects is. This is all something you should easily realize if you were a social person but...
-
I'm just saying, you're so fucking arbitrary. It is, it's arbitrary. Maybe "blue" is a REALLY complex subject for a particularly eccentric person. Which is have the fun and value of AMAs. If you're a boring fuck, maybe you shouldn't be making an AMA. If you're someone with a number of eccentricities, and are willing to elucidate some of them to some users... What is the fucking problem?
-
Why are you so mad and worked up about this? lol If you are crazy about a certain subject, then make a -blam!-ing thread about that certain subject We're talking generally here, we can't go into specific cases because they don't apply to AMA's in general nor to discussions in general. Stop trying to derail.
-
Or you can avoid all that spam and clutter and compile all of that minutiae into one thread. Seems like a better solution to me. Personally, I'd like to dilute the amount of small-talky question threads like "what is your favorite x". That would be fantastic. Indeed, everyone should have an AMA section on their profile. It's like PMs, except it's public, and anyone can read any of the questions other people have already answered. They'll never add that feature, though. So we have AMAs. And I'll never see the problem. And the part I understand the least is the attention-whoring part. Like, who honestly gives a fuck. Aren't you still Felicia's bottom or something? Isn't Felicia known across the fucking galaxy for being an attention whore? Why does it matter, anyway? Is the human condition not based entirely on attention-seeking? If they were gaining money from each response or thread view, you'd actually have a point. But they aren't. So you don't.
-
Aren't you still Felicia's bottom or something? Isn't Felicia known across the fucking galaxy for being an attention whore?
This is exactly what I needed to hear to prove who you are. Just another idiot. Another idiot who jumps on the blind hate bandwagons 'Hey, people are saying Felicia is an attention whore so it must be true and I'll start saying it too so I can fit in!'. If you even took a moment to really look at her ''attention whoring' threads, you'd see they were normal threads just as anyone elses, but since she was a girl, she was an attention whore. As far as I can recall, she never made an AMA outside of TFS. I could be wrong, but I don't remember her doing one. Why is Felicia being brought into this? She hasn't been on B.net for nearly half a year, and she wasn't even a real attention whore like others were.
