Does traditional family values mean my wife will stay at home and cook/clean all day? Or are we going back far enough in tradition where I can just buy a black girl to do that instead?

It may vary. I'm sure some would say it's important to have a mother to stay home and take care of the household. I personally see nothing wrong with that, especially if that's what the women prefer... And conservative women generally do.

If the Tea Party means it is against LGBT being parents or in favour of women reprising their pre-1960s roles as housewives then it should say so outright. There are many instances where many children [i]are[/i] better off without their biological parents, therefore it's silly to suggest that a father and mother are somehow required for a well-raised child. Good parents are necessary for a good child.
