Does traditional family values mean my wife will stay at home and cook/clean all day? Or are we going back far enough in tradition where I can just buy a black girl to do that instead?

  • Judging by the confederate flags waving at the rallies...

  • You think the confederate flags = buying black women?

As in, a mom and a dad are crucial for raising a child. And that woman and children should come first. At least, that's my idea of traditional family values. It may vary. I'm sure some would say it's important to have a mother to stay home and take care of the household. I personally see nothing wrong with that, especially if that's what the women prefer... And conservative women generally do.

  •
It may vary
And herein lies the problem. You can't make legislation propositions vague like that; it's just dishonest imo. If the Tea Party means it is against LGBT being parents or in favour of women reprising their pre-1960s roles as housewives then it should say so outright. 'Traditional family values' could mean anything.

  • Are you against diversity? And no one is advocating legislation. Do you know what "encourage" means?

  •
And no one is advocating legislation. Do you know what "encourage" means?
Yeah it means 'bribe a bunch of right-wing politicians to push through the legislation we want'. It's all the rage nowadays apparently.

  • I see you have given up sustaining an impossibly stupid position and have devolved your trolling into that of a 12 yr old. c'mon diude; you were doing so well in the other subthread (well no you were shit at holding your argument there as well, but at least there was an argument)

  • I think he's possibly the worst argumentative forum goer I've ever met. Not only are most of us not necessarily disagreeing with him, he takes every possibly reply as a front to his apparent god-given telepathy of ideas.

You said "No" to a mom and dad being crucial to raising a child. I'm asking would you really have been better off without one or both of your biological parents?

  • There are many instances where many children are better off without their biological parents, therefore it's silly to suggest that a father and mother are somehow required for a well-raised child. Good parents are necessary for a good child.

Link to a reputable study. Not one done by the United States Christian Organization, or something like that.
