Charlemagne's Vault
Located on Mars, this is the most profitable area we know of so far. I believe there will be many more profitable locations in the Destiny universe, but most importantly, I don't think that Charlemagne's Vault will be anything near the best. Why would Bungie reveal the best location for loot before the Beta is even released? On top of that, we already know that the Exotic Hand Cannon, Thorn, is going to be located here. I don't think that Bungie would have revealed the best location for loot before the Guardians have begun exploring, and should this actually be the best location, then it is likely that Thorn will not be the best gear found in the Vault. What do you guys think?

Maybe it's the carrot to drive our little feet forward. Each step of the way progressively more difficult. A number of quests just to unlock available strikes in the area. The need for successful strike/s to unlock raid/s. Every win/loss will give us better gear and a better understanding of the difficulty still further ahead. [b]And the glorious notion that we are becoming legend[/b].

2 RepliesMaybe it's a trap. Think about it... they let us know about this one ahead of time. Their is surely going to be at least one boss and probably a rather nasty surprise at the end as well before you actually get in the vault. Heck, it may even be a timed entry thing. I can think of a couple dozen ways that the dev's could be trolling us with this. They could even pull a Tal Rasha's tomb with only the option to pick one and the rest disappear into the sands.

I just hope that the enemy is difficult to face. What it mean is, the enemy looked fairly easy in the gameplay videos. I know that they were probably in [i]God Mode[/i], but I really want to feel challenged. The Thorn looks incredible. As an exotic, I'll probably never use it. It's too damn gorgeous to fire it. (:

This is going to be the first place i want to venture to and defeat the cabal and grab as much loot as possible in charleligmains vault! I know i spelt that wrong

1 ReplyI think Bungie only reveal the location cause the enemies will be looking for it as well. We the guardian's will have to fight through the toughest and ruthless the Cabal has to offer, but I doubt bungie will reveal the exact location of the vault because it will spoil the fun of searching for lost loot from our Golden age.

I believe thorn is a powerful exotic. We have yet to know the vaults actual location, not to mention they said its heavily guarded. Also stated that it part of one of the vaults missions.
