Transformers are some of the most violent aliens ever to come in contact with humanity... Who the hell are they to look at us as some toddler race who haven't learned to coexist. This speech is odd coming from Optimus as he probably killed over 200 of his own kind

When you're as old as a Transformer is (hundreds of millions of years) then it's likely that for the vast majority of their lives they've existed as dedicated combatants. Considering Cybertron's embattled status, and it's seemingly endless construction capacity, do you really blame Transformers for being weapons of war?

I don't blame them, I just find this monologue by Optimus odd if the transformers themselves have been wrecking each other for tens of thousands of years. They're as war mongering as we are

It's likely that before Optimus came in contact with Humans, he and his forces haven't faced Decepticons for tens of thousands of years. While the civil wars on Cybertron were savage, I'd say that Autobots only fought out of necessity, and even then they were doomed. I think Optimus Prime has every right to make this speech.
