You know, she DID kidnap children, so it was always hard for me to sympathize as the early books seemed to intend. I understand she formed a very close connection and relationship with the Spartan-II's, but she still did something inexcusable, even though it appeared as if she had no other choice. I don't think she should be killed at all.

You mean [i]ONI[/i] kidnapped kids. Halsey didn't kidnap anyone or even come up with the idea to do so or even that kids were the only one who could successfully be made into Spartans. ONI found all that out long before they even approached Halsey about directing the Spartan Program for them, kids would have been kidnapped to be turned into Spartans whether Halsey had actually agreed to sign on for the project or not.
