It would still be cool to be able to fly our solar system. Though it really is out of the scope of Destiny and would likely take a lot of work for a pretty boring ride.
Since the traveler arrived, we could safely assume we've achieved ftl speeds. And since it only takes light about 8 minutes to reach Earth from the Sun, at ftl those massive distances could be traversed rather quickly.

I'd do it once if it was in game. After that I'd just open up a wormhole and fast travel.

I'm reasonably certain that will be the rationale for the fast travel aspect of our spacecraft and how we get about.
