Let me explain this in simple terms. - OP made an absurd statement about healthcare, most likely a trolling post. - Ichthyosaur retorted with an absurd blanket generalization that all conservatives ascribe by the absurd notion presented by the OP. - I retorted Ichthyosaur's generalization of conservatives by saying all liberals are dumb enough to believe the original absurd notion presented by the OP is actually what all conservatives believe. You see, what I did was a little satire. The reality is that not everyone on the conservative side feels that way. I'm sure a few do. I'm also sure that not all liberals are foolish enough to believe that all conservatives believe what the OP does. The problem with modern politics and our current dialog is that all discussion has to be polarizing. Right now discussions go like this, "If someone doesn't completely agree with me, than they are wrong and the enemy." This shouldn't be the case, and Ichthyosaur's statement is a living embodiment of this.
