If you think this is true you are just stupid in the head and should go fall into a pit of poisonous spiders.
Who freed the slaves?
Lincoln(Republican)
Who was for segregation and black beatings in the south?
Eugene "Bull" Connor(Democrat)
I win get your facts before you speak.
Unless of course you like to be an ignorant full.

>Lincoln >Modern day Republican Pick one. You can't have both. The parties switched positions some time after the Civil War era. Why do you think the South was voting Democrat and not Lincoln around that time, and now they only vote Republican now? Also, why were Republicans so heavily against giving people of colored skin equal rights in the 60's?

Edited by Magical Robot: 3/2/2014 4:50:16 PM
Also, why were Republicans so heavily against giving people of colored skin equal rights in the 60's?
Because it opposed the democrats. They didn't care, and neither did the democrats. The democrats did it for votes, and the republicans did it to oppose the democrats. It was a democrat president that said "I'll have those n***ers voting democrat for the next 200 years" Lyndon Johnson

Bull Connor is from the 1950s and 60s but go ahead and call that centuries old just proving how dumb liberals are. So thanks for helping my point. 👏

whatever, theyre still very different now than then.

Wrong, The democratic party only began painting an image of themselves as non racist after the 1940s. They were fighting to reinstate slavery in fact. Try to learn the real history. The democratic party has never been for minorities, they are for votes.
