I just realized something. You had to zoom in on a character's eye just to see the difference. You can't even see the difference between 4k and HD unless you literally have your eyes pressing against the screen. What's the p oint of it?

  • it looks 1080p on a super huge tv instead of 480 on the same size

  • It's not zoomed in so you can see the difference in quality. It's zoomed in so you can see the difference in the number of pixels.

  • When looking at a 1080p HDTV and a TV with 5k resolution, there's a noticeable difference. The picture is much more smooth, with deeper shadow levels and more vibrant colors. I know we're talking about 4k here, but I imagine 5k wouldn't be much different from 4k.

  • You've never seen a 4K monitor yourself, have you? The computers we have in media class have those and the difference is outstanding.

  • As you can see from having to zoom in on an eyeball just to see the difference.

  • The picture is like that to make it easier to show it. If it was zoomed out, you wouldn't notice since you're likely not on a 4K monitor. Having it like that is like trying to show 3D on a 2D screen.

  • Oh ok I see what you mean.
