I really liked this. When I played through Halo 4, I realized a bit of a thing was going between the Master Chief and The Didact. What I didn't take into account for was what SGT.Johnson said in Halo 3. That's what hit me the most, realizing what Johnson said, had technically happened.

Yup. I wish that line was brought up in Halo 4 at the end. Everyone's minds would have been collectively blown.

DEFINETLY!!! I was flippin' out when cortana said "don't make a promise, if you know you can't keep it" in Halo 4.

What I'm hoping in Halo 5, is that the prologue involves the debriefing of Master Chief. There could be spot in there for a reference to Johnson's line.

I see what you mean. I'm curious as to whats gonna happen with Halo 5. I do hope it turns out well. And from what I read. I do think the chief will be decommissioned or make "the ultimate sacrifice"

Steve Downes has said he wanted Chief to die a hero's death. Can't think of anything more fitting.

Yeah. I ups honestly cry if Chief died, like at the end of Halo 4 with Cortana. But obviously Chief wouldn't die in Halo 5, if that's what they call it. The only way i could see Chief going out was if all the Halo rings were decommissioned and if all of the Covenant was maybe wiped out. The only thing i could say is maybe the covenant wouldn't have to be obliterated due to the reclaimer series being the humans claiming the forerunner tech thats there's and it being able to be super effective fighting off the covenant that the covenant would just leave humanity alone.

Not to be a debby-downer, but Chief is getting kind of old, I wonder if we'll be limited to our abilities in H5.
