I could see a Warlock channeling the power of the Traveler into a melee attack that resembles some sort of energy blade, but I doubt we'll see anything approaching a full-blown lightsaber.

What I had meant was something like what you are saying. But possibly a cooler version of the Fallen melee swords?

Well, so far, Hunters are confirmed as being able to "power up" their melee weapons. I see no reason why the other classes couldn't have some similar sort of ability geared toward a Close Combat Build.

That's the one. We've seen it in action in the "Out Here In The Wild" ViDoc as well as the Moon trailer.
