Is there an ability that let's you start off the match in a titan? That happened to me earlier, and apparently no one on my team knew that you have anti-titan weapons, as I was the only one trying to kill him...

Burn cards man... I got a strider, ogre and an atlas Titan burn card!
-
Are those even available on the Xbox One beta version?

Yeah, I also played the alpha and they weren't in there. I think they are pretty cool myself, a fun way to get an upgrade that isn't permanent.

There might be a burn card for it. I dunno- I certainly haven't gotten it.

It could have been the ogre or Stryder card

Tell me about these Burn Cards. They weren't in the PAX version.

Edited by burritosenior: 2/16/2014 7:19:51 PMWhen you do things in the game, you are sometimes awarded burn cards. I don't know all the criteria- I've gotten anywhere from zero to four burn cards in one game. I know one way to get one for sure is to reach evac safely when you lose, but I dunno how else I've been getting them. So you start out with one slot for a card, and you can get up to three. From your loadout screen in the lobby before a game, you can choose which of your cards to put in these slots. Each card has a different power. I've gotten... reduce the time on your Titan by 40-80 seconds, replace your weapon with a powerful shotgun or powerful carbine/pistol, speed boosts, faster ability recharges, infinite arc grenades, and more just to name a few. To use them, you can't be alive. You can only use them from the respawn screen (or when you're in the ship waiting for the game to start before it drops you onto the map). You can also only use one per life. The thing is that these cards are one use- you literally burn them so they disappear and you get the bonus. In addition, not only are they one use... but they're one life. So if you use a card that gives you a more powerful Carbine and then you get killed, you spawn with your default weapon in your next life.

Interesting.
