Hello compatriots. Back again with another piece of practice work. Been learning about basic hatching lines and decided I'd experiment on a critter with fur. First major use of hatching lines for me as well as first animal ever drawn. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. As per the standard, it's washed out but see what you can make of it anyway.

  • Looks great, you should try doing it in pen, and perhaps on a larger scale. That would look awesome!

  • Haven't explored pen yet. Still learning the basics of pencils. But I'm definitly trying to work on size. Good proportions do you little good if you can only make a picture the same size as the image you worked from.

  • When using this method, pen ink just shows better IMO. There are a couple of methods you could use to increase the size. You could use a grid scale (drawing it piece by piece) or a projector.
