• What a crock. What the author of that video fails to realize is that Halo 2 was actually more competitive than CE. He points out the bullet magnetism increase in Halo 2 as a sign that the game was "noobified", but in actuality it makes the game better and more skill-intensive than CE. In CE, there was the common problem of not being able to hit your target. This was caused by extremely low bullet magnetism. The result was a game that was frustratingly inconsistent, which meant that the game was significantly more casual-friendly than its successors. Halo 2 fixed that problem by increasing the bullet magnetism. This was done for two reasons. The first was for online purposes; Halo 2 could be played online, so it was necessary to increase bullet magnetism so things could run smoothly. The second reason was to make the game more competitive; now that players had a roughly equal probability to hit their shots (as opposed to CE), the game became much more competitive-friendly and skill-intensive. Halo 2 is not "noobified". It is by far the most competitive game in the entire series. You're welcome.
Halo 2 was actually more competitive than CE.
Agreed. That's look at the things they removed. Having no health packs makes the game more competitive. You would think having them would make it more because it causes people to think about what they're going to do ,but it doesn't. Having a regenerating system makes it more competitive because you are able to run around and charge at the enemy like retards with less risks. Then the removal of fall damage makes it more competitive. Instead of being held back by things which results in you thinking and being more careful about your moment. By having it removed it removes less things you have to think about which results in you jumping off anything like a retard to get to your target.

welcome? you're absolutely correct once again, mr. sandow. the best part of halo 2 was the amount of skill the shotgun took to use. i absolutely loved that the auto aim hit 8 degrees. what a fantastic way to add competitiveness to your game.

  • I like Halo 2 and all, and I'm certainly not on the CE worshiping train, but I disagree with this. Bullet magnetism always equals less skill involved in hitting your targets.
